FRP Structured Shapes (also known as FRP structural profiles or fiberglass reinforced plastic structural members) are engineered composite components made from a combination of glass fiber reinforcements and thermosetting resins through a process called pultrusion. These profiles are designed to replace traditional materials like steel, aluminum, or wood in structural applications where corrosion resistance, lightweight, and low maintenance are essential.
Proses Pembuatan
FRP structured shapes are manufactured using the pultrusion process. In this method, continuous glass fiber rovings, mats, and veils are impregnated with a resin system (such as polyester, vinyl ester, epoxy, or phenolic) and pulled through a heated die to form specific cross-sectional shapes. The result is a high-strength, dimensionally stable, and corrosion-resistant structural profile.
