Heavy Duty Fiberglass Grating is a high-strength, molded or pultruded fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) grating designed to withstand substantial loads in extreme industrial environments. Unlike standard FRP grating, heavy-duty grating features thicker bearing bars, wider panel depths, Dan reinforced load capacity, making it suitable for areas where forklifts, heavy machinery, or vehicular traffic may be present.
Manufactured using high-performance resins—such as vinyl ester, isophthalic polyester, atau phenolic—this grating offers outstanding resistance to corrosion, chemical exposure, moisture, and UV degradation, ensuring long-term durability even in highly aggressive settings like chemical plants, pulp and paper mills, marine docks, or mining operations.
Heavy duty FRP grating is available in both molded Dan pultruded types. Molded heavy-duty grating provides multi-directional strength and excellent impact resistance, while pultruded heavy-duty grating offers superior load-bearing performance in the span direction, ideal for trench covers, driveways, and load-bearing platforms.
One of the standout features is its high strength-to-weight ratio. Compared to steel grating, it offers comparable or superior strength with significantly lower weight, resulting in easier handling, reduced installation labor, and lower transport costs. Additionally, it does not conduct electricity, making it ideal for electrical safety zones.
Heavy-duty fiberglass grating is typically available with a gritted anti-slip surface, enhancing safety in slippery conditions. It also requires minimal maintenance since it won't rust, rot, or need repainting, reducing total life cycle costs.
